03/03/2004 - Official Distributor of G.S. Anderson Diaphragm ValvesVACTRA, supplier of industrial valves, has increased its sales
programme with their appointment as Official Representative for the
range of diaphragm valves manufactured by G.S. Anderson GmbH.
In the sector of the industrial marketplace where a sanitary valve
is necessary for the control of media (biotechnology, pharmaceutical,
cosmetic and food & beverage industries), VACTRA is committed to
the flexible supply of products with proven quality from producers who
are the market leaders in their specific field.
G.S. Anderson GmbH, the producer of the diaphragm valves, has more
than 50 years experience as a supplier of industrial valves. The
engineering development and production of the Anderson range of
diaphragm valves is carried out at the G.S. Anderson headquarters in
Germany.
The range of valves are available with either weir passage or
straight through body styles and can be produced in stainless steel
(forged and casted), cast iron, ductile iron, bronze or carbon steel
construction with, as standard, different finishes and coatings. Valves
can be supplied with screwed (male or female thread), weld, clamp or
flange end connections and a wide variety of diaphragm materials are
available including PTFE, Viton, EPDM, Natural Rubber, Buna-N, Butyl
rubber, Neoprene, Hypalon and FDA Approved types.
The Anderson diaphragm valve design in stainless steel execution is
supplied with the body and end connections machined from one piece.
Among other benefits, this has the advantage that, with either clamp or
screwed ends, a seamless connection is produced which means no chance
of pollution on the welding seam, and a more robust overall
construction.
Valves are offered with either manual operators (cast iron,
stainless steel or plastic construction) or pneumatic actuators (double
acting, spring to close and spring to open). Hand operated valves have
an adjustable overclosure stop, thus extending the life expectancy of
the seat considerably.
The newly developed range of pneumatic actuators (plastic or
stainless steel construction), also offer a number of important
advantages for the end user. For example, all actuators have as
standard a visual position indicator and spring return actuators are
equipped with separate preloaded springs ensuring that disassembly can
be effected without any danger for technicians. When required,
actuators can be supplied with a full range of accessories including
valve position monitors with integrated solenoids.
As a result of the modular design concept of the Anderson range,
valves can be supplied totally assembled according to customers’
specific needs, easily and within a short lead time. Also, due to the
organisational collaboration between VACTRA and G.S. Anderson, it is
possible to deliver custom made executions in a flexible and customer
orientated manner. For example, high performance materials are
available for fermentation processes, T-valves, tandem-valves, tank
bottom valves and multiport valves.
Even end-users who have standardised on a different make of
diaphragm valve will not have a problem in specifying Anderson products
as the diaphragms may well be interchangeable with their current brand.
This means, for every application, VACTRA can supply the correct
technical solution, no matter what body material, type of diaphragm,
type of connection or type of actuation required!
